The Crisis Center is a non-profit United Way agency in Birmingham, Alabama. Since 1970, the Crisis Center has been responding to individuals in crisis by providing comprehensive services that result in healing, improved mental health, positive life relationships and overall well-being. A United Way agency, the Crisis Center is a 501c 3 non-profit agency that operates 7 programs. These include our Crisis & Suicide Hotline; Rape Response; Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program; Kid’s Help Line; Teen Link; Senior Talk Line; and the Mental Health Association. We have over 200 volunteers who participate in these programs.
